Today GBCC has broken new ground on the new school. In faith the GBCC leadership gave up the school facility they have been renting for the past 6+ years. With those funds and the help of some generous supporters, we have broken ground on a new school campus for Hope of Glory Christian School built on the 50 acres of land Rockharbor purchased for GBCC over 10 years ago.

 

Back then and still today, Gulu Bible Community Church (GBCC) has a dream to raise up the next generation of Christian leaders for Northern Uganda. They believed the best way to do this was to begin with the children and follow them all they way through their education to one day helping them become pastors, teachers and more....  Hope of Glory Christian School was born on this foundation and with this goal.

Until now that land has been sitting and waiting for the move of God and he is moving! Today the first 6 classrooms are constructed, a new septic system is installed, flush toilets and showers are in, as well as 2 dormitories that will each hold 100 boys and 100 girls for the grand opening of the school this month. 200 Kids is just the beginning but the goal is growing the facility to house over 600 kids!

Not only does the school help the kids become the next faith leaders of Northern Uganda, it provides a safe place to grow and develop a healthy life for each child. This school will become a staple of the Christian faith for Northern Uganda and a sustainability source for the future of GBCC as well.

You have the opportunity to support in two key ways:

1) Children need sponsorships to go to school through Renew Gulu Child Development Program.

2) Play a part in funding the building the school that will one day house nearly 650 children.
